Ok...so...the doctor said that baby Dalnekoff already weighs 6lbs! In the last ultrasound, the baby was very grumpy...but we were able to get one good shot of her mad face and one of her little foot.  :)

Ok...a medica disse que a baby ja' pesa 6 pounds!  No ultimo ultrasound a nenem estava muito bravinha...mas nos conseguimos pegar uma fotinho da carinha dela e outra do pezinho. :)

Maryland Baby Shower!!! Cha de Bebe em Maryland

This month I had another incredible baby shower...this time hosted by the Dalnekoff girls (mom and sisters Dalnekoff).  The shower was in a beautiful stone building in Ellicott City...a gorgeous old town near Baltimore. It was so much fun and I felt very loved by all the family.  Since I always miss my Brazilian Family...I just feel blessed and so lucky to have found another family here.  Thank you girls!!!  Here are some pictures...

Este mes eu tive mais um cha de bebe...desta vez o cha foi dado pelas "Dalnekoff girls (a mae e irmas Dalnekoff).  O cha foi em um bonito restaurante todo de pedras na Ellicott City...uma lindissima cidade historica que fica proximo a Baltimore.  Foi tudo muito divertido e eu me senti muito amada por toda a familia daqui.  Como eu sempre sinto muita falta da minha familia no Brasil...me sinto abencoada e muito sortuda por ter encontrado uma familia aqui tb.  Obrigada meninas!!! Charleston Baby Shower / Cha de bebe em Charleston

Here are some pictures of the baby shower that my friends Ali, Danette and Petra put together for me in July.  It was so much fun!  Next month we will have a second shower in Baltimore for the family which will be hosted by the Dalnekoff future aunts and grandma.  :)

Aqui estao algumas fotos do cha de bebe que as minhas amigas Ali, Danette e Petra fizeram pra mim em Julho.  Foi muito divertido!  No mes que vem teremos um cha de bebe para a familia em Baltimore.  As futuras tias e vovo' Dalnekoff vao fazer pra gente.  :)

It's a girl! E' uma menininha!

The belly started to grow. I have been feeling great! My appetite is back and I have a lot more energy now.

A barriguinha ja' comecou a crescer.  Estou super bem! Minha apetite esta' de volta e eu tenho mais energia.

Still waiting to find out if it is a boy or a girl...Continuamos sem saber se e' menino ou menina...

Ok, so we had an ultrasound yesterday (16 1/2 weeks) and the doctor is still not sure if we are having a baby boy or a baby girl.  It turns out that the baby would not open his/her legs no matter what...was so funny! We are still waiting, but this time the doctor really thinks that we are having a little girl. We should know for sure in 3 weeks :)

Bom, nos tivemeos um ultrasom ontem (estou de 16 1/2 semanas) e a medica ainda nao sabe se teremos um menininho ou uma menininha.  O bebezinho nao abria as perninhas de jeito nenhum...foi ate engracado! Continuamos esperando, mas dessa vez a medica realmente acha que teremos uma menininha.  Saberemos com certeza daqui a 3 semanas :)

Boy or Girl??? Menino ou Menina???

This Tuesday we may find out if we are having a baby boy or baby girl.  I will let you know as soon as we find out.  Until then, let us know what you think the baby is...boy or girl???

Nesta terca pode ser que a gente veja se e' menino ou menina.  Eu os manterei informados...ate' la'...nos diga o que voce acha que e'...menininho ou menininha???

12 weeks! 12 semanas!

Here is the latest picture...the baby is sucking his/her thumb!  Isn't he/she soooo cute?  Ok, so...doctor could not confirm for sure but thinks it is a boy...I think we saw a little something sticking out between the legs today ;).  Who knows...

Aqui esta' a mais nova foto do baby... ele/a estava chupando o dedinho! Ele/a e' muito fofo nao e'? Bom...o medico nao pode confirmar com certeza porque ainda e' muito cedo, mas ela acha que e' um meninho...Eu acho que nos vimos um negocinho pra fora no meio das perninhas hoje :).  Quem sabe...

10 Week Appointment! Consulta de 10 Semanas!

Today we had our 10-week appointment.  It was so exciting...we heard the baby's heartbeat.  It was so loud and strong!  What an incredible moment it was.  No new pictures though...we will have one in 2 weeks.  Doctor said everything looks good so far. 

Hoje nos tivemos uma consulta com a medica (estou de 10 semanas).  Foi muito emocionante...nos ouvimos o batimento cardiaco do baby.  O coracaozinho batia tao forte! Foi um momento maravilhoso.  Ainda nao tenho novas fotos...mas terei fotos em duas semanas.  A medica disse que esta' tudo indo bem por enquanto.

The First Baby Picture/ A Primeira Foto do Baby

This picture was taken at 5 weeks.  The baby was the size of a sweet pea...and...my sister Ana said it was the prettiest pea she has ever seen!  More pictures coming soon.  This Monday we have our 10 week appointment!

Esta e' a primeira foto do baby...que era do tamanho de uma ervilhinha. A Aninha disse que era a ervilhinha mais linda que ela ja' viu. Mais fotos chegarao em breve.  Nesta segunda teremos a nossa consulta...estarei de 10 semanas!

Oi Familia e Amigos!!!

Esta e' a nossa primeira mensagem!

Amanha eu estarei de 10 semanas.  Os meus enjoos estao fogo...mas tento me manter positiva e espero que tudo comece a melhorar em mais 2 semanas.  Minha mamae tem sido minha grande fortaleza...sempre no telefone me ouvindo pacientemente e tb me dando conselhos para tentar melhorar.  Agora ela me faz praticar uma psicologia onde eu penso o dia inteiro que estou bem e nao tenho enjoos...eu tento...mas...as vezes eu me vejo vomitando e pensando positivo ao mesmo tempo..rsrsrs.  Bom...tudo faz parte!

Sou tambem muito sortuda que o Dani e' maravilhoso.  A nossa hora do jantar e' bem complicada...mas ele esta sempre tentando ajudar.  Eu nunca quero comer nada e quando eu resolvo comer, normalmente so' quero comidas que eu nunca como tipo batata fita e comida chinesa.  O pior e' que na maioria das vezes o Dani acaba ficando sozinho na segunda metade do jantar enquanto eu vou direto para a privada ou lixo.  Ainda bem que ele tem um estomago forte, muitas vezes ele fica me assistindo vomitar e depois volta a comer normalmente...vai saber!  Bom...mas...e' bom que ele e' forte porque tenho certeza que isso sera' muito bom na hora do parto! hehe

Mais noticias virao em breve...a nossa proxima consulta e' na segunda feira.

Ainda nao sabemos o sexo do baby...muito cedo...mas...eu tive a minha primeira premonicao.  Esta semana eu sonhei que estavamos segurando um menininho...brincando com ele na cama...rindo...foi tao gostoso!  Nao sei se acredito ou nao...mas...e' tudo que tenho por enquanto.   Bom, e voces?  O que acham que e'...menino ou menina?

Hello Family and Friends!!!

This is our first post!

Tomorrow I will be 10 weeks.  Still struggling a ton with the nausea and sickness...but...trying to stay positive and hoping that it will start getting better in two more weeks.  My mom has been my biggest supporter...listening for hours and giving me all kinds of advices to feel better.  She has me practicing this reverse psychology where I try to think all day that I feel great and have no nausea...I try...but...sometimes I find myself thinking that and being sick at the same time....LOL.  Oh well...it is all part of the experience!

I am lucky that Danny is so incredible too. Dinner time is a real challenge at the Dalnekoff home but hubby is always trying to help.  I hardly want to eat anything and when I do, it is usually something I don't normally eat like french fries or even Chinese food.  The tough part is that even when I eat, Danny ends up spending the second half of the dinner eating alone while I head for the toilet or trash can.  Good thing that nothing messes up his stomach....most of the time he watches me get sick and can go right back to his dinner...go figure! Glad I have a strong guy by my side...because I know it will come in handy in the delivery room too...ha.

More news to come soon....our next baby appointment is this Monday!

We still won't know the sex for a while...but...I had my first premonition.  This week I had a dream that Danny and I were holding a baby boy...playing in bed with him...laughing...it was so fun!  Ok...not sure if that means anything...but...that's all I got.  Let me know your thoughts...do you think it is a boy or a girl?
